REFRIGERANT PIERCING SADDLE VALVE is for Professional R-290 and Professional R-600a. For 1/4″ or 5/16″ or 3/8″ O.D. Tube. Easy to install and handy for tapping into pipes.

PROFESSIONAL R-600a REFRIGERANT is specifically for use in new refrigeration units that call for R600 refrigerant. It is for use in a variety of systems such as new home refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, and window ac units as well as many industrial applications calling for R600 refrigerant. Not only does it have an extremely low global warming potential (GWP), but R-600a reduces the amount of accidental greenhouse gas emissions caused by leaks and improper practices. Compared to other systems on the market, this product is the most efficient.
PROFESSIONAL R-290 REFRIGERANT is a natural refrigerant. It is used to replace R404A and R407 refrigerants. Designed specifically for new refrigeration and air conditioning systems. This product is environmentally friendly and it has been shown to improve energy efficiency compared to previous refrigerants. R290 is non-toxic and non-ozone depleting and it also has a low Global Warming Potential (GWP). For use only in units calling for R290.
Directions:
- Turn the piercing pin COUNTER-CLOCKWISE with the supplied Allen wrench so that the pin will pierce the tubing. The piercing pin should not be raised above the top of the valve.
- Remove the three bolts with the Allen wrench.
- Put the two halves of the valve around the tubing. Use the inserts only if needed to adjust the valve to the proper tubing size. If the tubing is 3/8”, no insert is needed.
- Insert the three bolts and tighten them down evenly with the Allen wrench.
- Turn the piercing pin CLOCKWISE to pierce the tubing.
- The valve is now ready to use
- Replace the cap on the tapping valve.
