This Range Surface Burner Control Switch is a replacement part that operates your appliance's surface element, turning it off and on and regulating its heat intensity. This switch (also called the infinite switch) is for a dual-sized burner, series M, and sends voltage to the surface element coils. If your element remains at high heat or doesn??åt turn on at all, the surface element switch has likely become damaged and should be replaced. In order to access this part, you'll remove the screws from the back panel of the range and remove it. If you model has individual wires connecting the switch, make sure you swap them out one at a time. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the range and novice repair experience. Remember to unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this item.Helpful Tip: Taking a digital photograph of the current wiring connections before replacing this part is advisable to aid with proper installation.
