The Refrigerator Freezer Door Gasket is located on the inner door panel of the appliance??ås freezer compartment and creates a seal around the door. Note that door seal gaskets may also compress over time, causing the appliance to work harder to maintain a constant, cool temperature. Frost may accumulate inside the freezer as a result. Replacing this part may alleviate this issue. To remove any creases or wrinkles from the new gasket, set it in the sun or place it in hot water for a few minutes. Safely store any food that could deteriorate while the door is open for this repair. This part is black in color and is designed to be used specifically with black appliances. The seal measures approx. 20-1/4" x 31-1/3". Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
