The Dryer Heating Element Wire Connector may need to be replaced if your dryer takes too long to dry your clothes or if your dryer is no longer producing heat. To start this repair, pull the dryer away from the wall to access the back panel and remove the 9 screws holding the panel in place. Remove the wire from the heating block terminal and use your wire cutters to cut off the end of the wire near the terminal. The remove about a 1/4" of insulation from the end of the wire. Then you'll connect the new wire with the new nut to the existing wire. This kit Includes (1) wire with terminal and (1) wire nut. (2) ire connectors Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Recommended Item: 8-1/4". This stripper specializes in stripping and cutting wire.
