This Front Load Dryer Drive Motor and Pulley Assembly rotates the dryer belt to spin the drum and includes the pulley to which the dryer belt attaches. To access the part, you'll need to remove the front panel of the dryer. Shaft length: blower is 1-5/8", drive is 1-1/4". Common symptoms of a bad drive motor are: The dryer stops turning during cycle; the dryer won't start, or the dryer won't turn at all. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. Remember to unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Recommended Item: Blower Wheel (item 1245880) for exhaust with clamp. If the dryer does not heat properly then this wheel may be stripped causing an air flow problem.
