This Refrigerator Ice Cutter Grid Complete Assembly is located within the main unit of the ice maker, and contains thin, heated wires that slice the ice into cubes that are then deposited in the ice bin. If the cutter grid is broken, ice can back up within the ice maker. This part is sold as a complete assembly and is used with freestanding ice makers. The kit includes all the hardware needed to attach the wire to the frame. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
