This Gas Range Burner Spark Igniter is a metal conductor with ceramic insulation that delivers an electrical discharge from the spark module to the gas burner, igniting the gas and lighting the flame. If the ceramic insulation of one or more of your appliance??ås igniters are cracked, it may cause the burner(s) to no longer light, and the igniter(s) will need to be replaced. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the cooktop and novice repair experience. You must unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure to turn off the gas valve before the repair. Helpful Tips: Be mindful not to lose the two burner wires inside the appliance when you detach them from the old burner head. To install the new part, simply insert it into the burner head and secure it with two screws.
