The SxS Refrigerator Start Device Assembly is mounted to the side of the compressor on the back of the refrigerator and causes the compressor to start when refrigeration is needed. This device assembly includes (2) relay and overload combinations, (2) overloads, (1) terminal cover, (1) jumper wire, (1) cover, (1) relay and the installation instructions. Installing this part will require basic tools, considerable disassembly of the refrigerator and prior repair experience. Remember to unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Helpful Tips: The wiring of the replacement parts may be different than the original, but are still compatible. The included installation instructions will cover most makes and models; if the instructions are not applicable to your appliance, we recommend contacting a qualified repair technician to install this assembly.
