The Dishwasher Thermal Fuse Kit includes (1) jumper assembly, (2) zip ties, (1) stripe of foil tape, (1) fiberglass sleeve and installation instructions. The thermal fuse is located inside the console of the dishwasher and shuts off the heating element if the appliance overheats. If the thermal fuse fails, the dishwasher will not start. Note that for safety reasons you must also replace the included wire harness when making this repair. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing the thermal fuse. Also make sure you turn off the water supply under the sink.
