The Dryer Idler Pulley and Bracket sits between the motor and the drum of the dryer, putting tension on the drive belt. If the idler wheel no longer rotates the drum freely or you notice a loud squeaking sound coming from the appliance during use, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Helpful Tip: Also consider replacing the Drive Belt (item 821098) and Idler Spring (item 652085) when the dryer is disassembled to successfully complete this repair.
