Product Description
The Dishwasher Float rises as your dishwasher is filling with water. When the float reaches a predetermined level, it shuts off the flow of water, preventing any leaks. If water isn't entering your dishwasher, or if your dishwasher overflows, the float and shaft assembly could be jammed or warped, and may need to be replaced. To access the part, you may want to remove the dishwasher from under the counter so you have more room for the repair. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. You should also shut off the dishwasher's water supply underneath the sink before replacing this part. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh?« Dishwasher Cleaner (item W10501250) to help remove limescale and mineral build-up that can be unsightly and affect your dishwasher?Æs performance. *affresh?« brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
