This SxS Refrigerator Ice Container Assembly houses the automatic icemaker, and needs to be replaced when the housing is cracked or has rusted. This model's auger has been slightly redesigned with a slightly different spiral and no plastic shield. When removing the icemaker assembly, be sure to lift the ice shut off arm up. Helpful Tip: Installing this part will require no disassembly of the appliance or repair experience. Remember to unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installation.
